Everything you need to get the most out of Tabberio

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I open Tabberio?

Click the Tabberio icon in your Chrome toolbar, or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Space (Cmd+Shift+Space on Mac). You can also open it as a side panel with Ctrl+Shift+E (Cmd+Shift+E on Mac).

What are workspaces?

Workspaces let you group related tabs by project, topic, or context. You can switch between workspaces instantly, keeping your browser organized without losing tabs.

How does tab freezing work?

Freezing suspends inactive tabs to free up memory. Frozen tabs stay in your tab bar but use nearly zero RAM. Click a frozen tab to instantly restore it. You can freeze tabs manually or let Tabberio auto-freeze inactive ones.

Is my data stored locally or in the cloud?

By default, all your data is stored locally in your browser. Cloud sync is optional — if enabled, your data is end-to-end encrypted before leaving your device.

Can I use Tabberio without creating an account?

Yes. All core features (workspaces, tab freezing, search, folders) work without an account. An account is only needed for optional cloud sync across devices.

How do I restore a frozen tab?

Simply click on the frozen tab in your tab bar, and it will be restored instantly to its original state.

Does Tabberio work in Incognito mode?

By default, Chrome extensions are disabled in Incognito. You can enable it by going to chrome://extensions, finding Tabberio, clicking "Details", and toggling "Allow in Incognito".

How do I export or back up my data?

Go to Tabberio Settings and use the Export feature to download a backup of your workspaces, folders, and settings as a file.
